@tripdog did this build he did not specify where the hands came from. I would be only guessing by saying Rafflestime. I can tell you that I have used Raffletimes hands on a few builds and they are as good if not better than most stuff out there. If I see TC V3 hands before you I will be pouncing on them lol.

It has an ETA 2789 in there.
Hey thanks for the info much appreciated, probably worth grabbing a set of rafflestime hands in that case anyway.
You're welcome to any TC hands that come up lol, I'm desperately trying to curb the spending and failing hard as it is!

This is as clean and pure a dive watch as it gets. It is absolutely stunning with the rivet bracelet.

This watch is part of my holy trinity along with the 5517 and the 14060. Let me know if you ever decide to sell it...

Thank you for the kind words. It is its pure simplicity that make it such a perfect watch for me. I will be very honest. This is the last watch I would ever consider selling :) Of all my watches it is my favourite.

the truth is that he already promised this watch to me
Promises made to Pokemons (even to the cute ones) don't count!

How are you even still on RWI? Don't we now have to verify that we are humans in order to access the forum???

Not completely there yet with the patina, and I’m not sure if this is the dial I’m going to use, but it came out nice, and my luming skills are getting better.

DIY gilt dial, just part of a batch I baked to practice luming and aging techniques, but it looked good enough I wanted to see it in a case.

I think this dial came out great. Probably the first one I’d actually consider putting into a watch, although the lume isn’t perfect and I haven’t even started on the case. It was meant as a prototype to experiment on, but side by side I like it better than the Raffles dial.

Gilt gloss early 5513.

Side by side with a Raffles build that’s only slightly farther along:

looks nice. 😁

only thing I would point out is that the print look a little blurry, like it's missing sharpness. I don't know how to explain it

There was something I wanted to try out, and your gilt dial made me think of it.

You might want to try transparent crackling varnish, then transparent glossy varnish as a step 2, then some heat

That should give a spider finish to the dial

You might want to mask the lume plots with rodico before, or lume after.

Yes, was thinking I need to do one more coat of lume over the top.

I am looking at the rainy weather today...and looking at the box with the Railmaster build

One thing I have learned is never to do any ageing work when it rains. It never turns out good
