The dd 40 is here!

That looks nice. It looks really nice, actually. How is the movement. A lot of factors scare me away from the DD, the main factor is the movement. I’ve only seen inexpensive versions and the movement seems to struggle and flips the day and date at different times and even barely switch them. That would be my main concern with a DD 40.

Id love to own a gen though.

Thanks! That issue is non existent with the 2836 movement. I think I have a video somewhere of my YG dd40 showing the day and date change literally 3 seconds after 12:00am. And prior to changing the day/date was in its full position from the previous day.

I think the dd is a tough watch to duplicate. Between th movement, the weight, the precision, something just alway looks off. Whether its the dial or the bezel and those details drive me nuts. That being said, I got these just to see them.

I'm kind of new here but I don't think you're supposed to post QC pics. Unless you have a specific concern. I'm not positive but you might be able to just post them here to show off a DD (but not sure).

If you have a specific concern you can post them but idk if you have to start your own thread just for that issue. I'd love to see it though. Now or when you finally get it.

They are. They're pretty terrible. They're like AAA at best. U1 Factory. $65 watches. I have teenage triplet nephews who I got them for the other day.

Honestly, I never would have even posted them but the DD40 posted above looked just as bad. Lol

it seems off to the left. Instead of rejecting it ask for another close up on date font.
If it still off then ask for another one.

I asked for pics of it in the higher dates like 20s and it dont seem too bad. I dont think its bang on centre but i think its ok for me

Well you're spending $1k+ on this wrap version.. I personally would reject and ask for another one.

I bought a noob dd40 from one of the TD and met him in person. The date was misaligned and the crystal was very bad. Is this common for Noob dd40? Is the BP one better for these two items? I am thinking to get a bp dd40 and someone source a noob day wheel. It seems from all the pictures BP's has better date alignment and crystal clarity. If I get one I will probably order a clark's AR 318C crystal and see how it works.

Dug through this whole thread, but I'm not sure if what has been posted here is outdated or not. I'm thinking Noob for a DD right now, given that the only real drawback is that the lume markers are reused from the datejust models and, as such, fatter than the BP version of the DD. Am I correct, or am I missing something crucial?

Also, there wasn't much written on here about RG DD models—can anyone give me their opinion on whether Noob or BP makes a better RG DD?

Hi, quick question, what’s the difference between a 3255 mod vs a eta 2836??? I see two versions on trusty. I personally got a 3255 icy blue diamond bezel and dials, but want to get one more and wonder what’s the difference between 2836 and 3355?

I asked my friend to place an order from his long time regular dealer for me last week (I’m still in Hong Kong), for a BP icey blue daydate diamond bezel with 904L bracelet and A3255caliber, it was about $350USD.... I am beyond STUNNED for the beautiful watch!!!! Let me know what you think please.... fonts, crown, the Rolex crown on the dial(I personally think it’s a bit too big) etc!!!

This looks great! I've been meaning to get one of these with a silver dial, yet I'm unsure if the diamond bezel's quality is nice enough. Can anyone else with the same model chime in?
