Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with those two dial combos so I don't know for sure. That said, I have seen a number of guys post pics with the "grey" dial combo so I know its a popular one. Also, Steve likes to use this one with his 2AR crystal installed and it looks great :)

About the movement, Technically none are gen. like but both are great movements. My wrapped DD came with a brand new Swiss ETA that was verified but most people will say it's not worth spending the extra $ bc it isn't guaranteed that you would be getting a brand new one.

I talked to my TD and he says that they come with an actual Swiss ETA, brand new.

I read the entire thread, but I still need some spoon feeding :) - is there a definitive answer on which one is better - Noob or BP?

I have a lot of experince with Noob watches and they were always very well built. I never had a BP watch, but I have read about other watches made by them and they always seem to be inferior to other factories. Is this watch an exception?

For a Sub Noob is the best but when it comes to DD and DJ most say it's BP and I agree with that. If you skim through this thread and look at the pics from the people who ordered a DD40 I would say 95% or more order the BP.

You could always sell it as a C&R and buy the other one if you don't like it :)

Hi everyone! just joined and looking to get my first rep watch soon, looking at getting the ice blue day-date, which one do you guys recommend as far as being the most accurate in terms of movement & looks? really appreciate it, thanks in advance!
