@peterpl : My wrist is 7.1" , not huge, but I mostly wear watches like PAM372, U boat Chimera, DSSD...And it looked like a ladies watch to me, but maybe because I took my 372 off to try this one on-the difference was enormous! And I didn't really the color and the salesman was a prick..I think I should go and try it again tomorrow and hope for another salesman :D
Is there also a decent rep of the DD2 out there? Is it on a similar level as DD40?
BTW - your gen looks great and the size is perfect for your wrist! Please don't tell me you have 7" wrist too... :D

Well, I went to an AD boutique today. The salesman was very uptight and snobby, you gotta love guys like him. I think every AD has one just like him...Anyway, they only had one and yes, it was yellow gold :D I tried it on and as much as I love the finish and craftsmanship, it just felt too small for my wrist. The guy wouldn't let me take a wristshot or a pic of the watch alone, so sorry about that. I kinda like the DJ2 too..What is the general consent-is the DJ2 a better rep? Or are these two in the same league?
I think I'll order the grey one, just to see it in person. I can always flip it, I guess..

I'm sure there is, imho I think staff at AD should serve all the customers as potential buyers! In my case, when I bought GMT II from AD, the first salseman was just like the person you mentioned. Walked out after few minutes of that awkward situation. Went back later and walked straight to another assistant, and it was like from another planet, in a good way ofc. Bought that watch and the first salesman came to appologize and tried to excuse as he is so tired of ppl who just waste their time admiring pieces they won't buy etc. Didn't know how to react so I just smiled back.

But that piece is now sold so back to DD, I have also visited few different AD's just to check different dials and try on that ''holy grail of mine''. Been considering the gen DD40 and have saved money for that, but just can't afford it yet. I'm new at rep world but have spent hours to do the research about products available and I'd say that good quality rep is not bad investment at all! I'm after some nice piece and if i'm not able to get it I go for YG wrapped one from TD and start looking for few Gen parts as upgrade, like xtal, crown and so on. Weight issue is not that big deal for me, I couldn't imagine handing GEN to someone just to check if its auth or not and never had to do so with my GEN Gmt. BP products looks pretty close for the cost straight from factory. So I can enjoy a nice watch and make sure the size, colour and stuff like that is spot on while saving for gen. :)

@Therion666 - thats your problem man you wore your PAM 372 just before you tried on the DD40. Its going to look fairly small against that.

My wrist is 6.75 inch so a bit smaller than yours but it should be ok on you. A few of my friends have also bought a DD40 and they have larger wrists than me and it looks good on them too. Try it out I say - if you dont like it you can flip it for minimal loss on here and that way it gets you to get a feel of the sizing and style. Never know you might like it so much you go buy a gen after a few weeks!! :)

Also no good reps of the DD2. Not any thats worth bothering about.

The rose gold gen is everrose .. Platinum and copper .. The rep rose gold is Just a standard rose gold . The gen gives a pinkish color . Definitely stay with the ss reps

Gen Everose is 18ct pink gold alloy made in Rolex's own foundry. where did you read it's made of PLATINUM & COPPER...

https://www.rolex.com/watches/cosmograph-daytona/m116505-0001.html <--- In the browser, Ctrl+F (command+F on Mac) and type 'Everose', will bring you to the article that Rolex states the Everose gold.

Its been discussed plenty of times on TRF. I could be wrong I dunno - but I also read it was yellow gold mixed with platinum and copper. Supposedly thats why none of their 18kt fades or tarnishes and thats how they get the color.

It has to be mixed and its an alloy. Rolex likes to use their terminology to make it sound very exquisite but its just mixing metals. There is no such thing as natural everose gold its an alloy.

Yes . That's exactly right . @metalaphid I forget to mention the yellow gold assuming everyone knows that is part of the mix.I have purchased over 4 gen Rolex rose gold presidential's. So I'm a little more familiar with what the material is actually made out of... not saying that no one else here is .. I'm sure 80 perfect of you guys are rich and just being cheap lol ... when you say a rose gold Rolex and a rose gold watch it's night and day .... I just love repsssssssss

Hey there, Can you tell me what dealer you sourced this from? is this a white or silver dial?
Hi,every dealer has the same watches so no need to buy it from a specific one..
Its the white dial but it has some silver in it as per gen.

That yellow gold rep from @ts0ts0s looks superb for a rep.

Damn i know the dealers are going to have a backlog. I'll wait another week before ordering.
