It can be done but it will be a lot of work. Plus I doubt you will find a gen 40mm dial for sale

Actually yes you can post QC pics, as long as you are not asking "does anyone see any thing wrong" type questions.

Thanks no idea on weight but I'm sure it's going to be about the same as any of the other day date / day date II reps.
My last day date II was around 138g and the gen is like 220g. The reps will never be that heavy unless they use tungsten or something.
