The last stick from some middle of the road samplers I had stored in the bottom of my humi. Padilla Especial Edicion 2006...

OK smoke. Rich tobacco and pepper. Just a hint of espresso and semi sweet cocoa. Slight bitterness going into the 2nd/last thirds and a little too full bodied for morning coffee.

Since i don't smoke cigars i have a question...i see some of the pictures here and some have the label still on them while being smoked and some don't. What is the right way and as you smoke them down and get to the label do you then remove the label and smoke it further or stop at the label? Surely you don't leave it on and let it burn down as you smoke it.

I'm not a specialist... I took this pic before smoking it! IMHO a cigar have to be smoked without its label as you said ;-)

On... Off... Doesn't really matter. Ultimately, the band will have to come off.

Should you smoke the band/label (as I have on a few drunken occasions) the burning paper will undoubtably muck up the flavor.

thanks that is what i was wondering about the taste. I sorta thought it would but since i am not a cigar smoker i had to ask

Donnie,

I smoke my cigars with the band on and remove it when it gets too hot... I usually wear the band on my pinky till the cigar is done.

The cigar band pretty much identifies your taste to other aficionados, just like a watch...
