Wow! Very Nice to see this! Beautifull watch....
I was just thinking of buying this rep at timeshops, and then i saw your topic. I am actually very amazed that all the gen parts just fit the replica...... Do you modify the parts or do they just fit in exactly? I was wondering if i could just stick a real dial, bezel and caseback on my replica, but i guess my questions have just been anwserd hèhèhe....

Keep up the good work and good luck ;)

I'm not sure you're going to be able to source the parts but good luck!

yyyyyyeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

hmmm is that a sister I see in your sig?

Very nice watch I say. Congrats.

Thank you R2!! :D

I know where you can get a gen bezel but it's missing the rider tabs and I'm not sure the rep ones will fit. Actually I don't even know if the whole bezel assembly will fit since no one has done it so far...

The problem I have QQ is the bezel itself I think is fine; fine the rider tabs could be easily changed over just finding them is a PITA and I dont really see the point....?

Well I have a friend with a gen BCE and I can say that the engraving on the gen is MUCH deeper than on the rep. And I mean it when I say MUCH! I'm being anal about the small details but that's just me. All the little imperfections bother me, that's why I'm never satisfied with my watches

I have a the V1/2/3/gen bezel with me from the SA and honestly people said the same thing but there is no appreciable difference....

also Breitling made the bezel with varying thickness....!

if you have a gen bezel or see one can you PM me?

Nice one SMIDSY, our BCEs can be cousins. Here's mine:

gen dial
gen caliber 13 movement
gen datewheel
gen strap from AD

I can't keep up with the V1/V2/V3 stuff, but my bezel has very deep engravings. I have had it side-by-side with a gen at my AD and the only discernible difference is in the rider tabs (the difference is negligible).

G, that's definitely a V2 bezel :)

Thanks. Good? Bad? The depth of engraving and number style seems extremely close to the gen. Only the centering seems a tiny bit off. At least that's what I recall when they were side by side.

I was about to tell you that you can pretty much order anything from Breitling as long as it's not something of a limited edition. I was telling a member a few days ago that I just went to ebay and copied down a serial number off of a Skyland Avenger then called Breitling on the number provided on their website, told them that I damaged my dial because I broke the crystal and needed a replacement then they forwarded my call the some breitling centre in Austria, I gave them the serial number, they gave me a price and asked for my address. At that point I just hung up because I was only experimenting but it was interesting that they didn't even ask for the old dial to be returned.

I'm not sure that's necessarily true QQ but as I have a breitling account might as well make use of it :)

although we are having it revoked soon :(

LOL if I can do it as a regular customer you can probably even better parts. All I'm saying is that Breitling ain't all too strict about these thing. Not in my experience with them anyway.

They are for cetain parts... movements, dials, datewheels, hands are a pain to get... even with the account I'm still waiting on 2 BCE dial exchanges for the last month....!

They also are cracking down due to them appearing in reps... wonder how that happens

however I'd be careful breitling are in my experience tough to get useful parts out of... bezels are ok though you're right :)

Well I almost got a dial off of them, only if I didn't hang up. I doubt I'll get a movement though but they're not worth the money anyway. Just normal ETA7750 with engraved rotor and bridges. No modifications whatsoever

I disagree it's a COSC eta 7750....& it's pretty... I like them but 1200US for a movement is a lot....

I'll try and get a dial that way but my response has always been by exchange only.

So all they do is regulate it? That's where the extra $700 go? Please

if we are talking about a cosc grade 7750 and a cal 13 then sure I can see why you dont see a difference BUT

a regular 7750 just isnt as good as the 'top' or 'COSC' grades. There IS a difference there.

the stock 7750 is around the 300-400US mark
top 4-500
cosc 600-700

I'll agree I cannot justify the extra 600 but Breitling movements do look very nice and they are well finished.

That's how they come from the factory mate. All Breitling do cosmetically is engrave it
