Are you comparing 15400s to other 15400s? The gap is different between 15400 and 15500, for example. But 15400's gap can seem larger or smaller, depending on the angle and lighting. Most top tier 15400 reps don't have an issue with that gap though, in my opinion.
I think it is an interesting topic for both ladies and their partners so it might be worthwhile to start a dedicated thread about it provided it doesn't exist yet.Hi everyone! I am new to rep watches, but a long time lover of rep handbags. I have reached purse peace and now have become interested in watched.
I have my first rep watch purchased as a rehome on reddit (36mm Rolex DD in icy blue from QF) I know it won't be perfect but I think it is a good start.
Women's watches are generally less well repped that men's sizes and 36 is probably the max diameter I would like to go. I am very interested in a AP RO in SS/RG in a 33mm or 34mm size. I have read that as a base ZF is probably best for this. I would also like it modded to be closer to gen. I was thinking RG wrap because usually the RG tint isn't close enough. If you could have 3 mods to an AP RO 33/34mm (either gen, replating, repolishing etc.) What would you recommend? Dial and bezel? Do you have a modder/watchmaker you like who can do this? Budget is about $1500. Not sure if that is reasonable, but can go up as needed.
Thank you so much!
For me personally the 1571x series diver releases are done to death already over many long years, with the dial color and case and bezel materials being the primary variations.
Really appreciate the comment sir. I had an old diver, who knows what factory years ago and it was absolutely amazing. I ended up not wearing it for some time and it’s with my father. I knew recently I wanted one again and the white caught my eye. Seems black might be more in line with my desire for a daily beater and “more accurate” this time around might be a nice byproduct. Last diver for reference. Miss it every day and never cared about the details right or wrong. For me personally the 1571x series diver releases are done to death already over many long years, with the dial color and case and bezel materials being the primary variations.
It’s good to wear as a beater (I have a gen 15720 diver I use as knockaround beater) as divers are clunky watches and generally seen as the entry level secondary watches to own besides the Royal Oak and the Offshore series.
Get it if you like it. Yes there are always flaws here and there but this applies to all replicas including the impressive 26240 releases. This is a decent model to own to get a feel whether you like AP as a brand.
I won't know about the functionality or reliability as I have not had one in hand yet but vs gen, the bridges and decorations look rough.@legend What are your thoughts on the new APSF 26240 superclone?
Well the first obvious question is where the watch is from.@legend
It's been a while, how goes it?
I got this 15510 on leather and the micro screw on the case lug fell off.
I was recommended this: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIylPzW
But that screw is way too long.
Do you have a link where I can buy this tiny little screw?
Oh they aren't!?Well the first obvious question is where the watch is from.
If it’s gen then get it from AP.
If it’s rep, just ask your dealer for the replacement screw. The gen and rep screws are sadly not interchangeable.
Yes it’s ceramic and rather black.Black ceramic.
Bro read the past 5 pages and the thread on the new APSF 26240. Yes this is the no flame zone but that doesn’t allow for laziness!Hi All, I’ve been wanting to pick up a royal oak chronograph lately, and it seems like the options my old dealer carries are BF or IPF. Any opinions on the two? I’m looking. At 26240 and 26331 models. I’ve been out of the game for a while so please let me know if there are other factory versions I should look for in the royal oak chronograph space.
@elusive1 you got a perfect reply.Bro read the past 5 pages and the thread on the new APSF 26240. Yes this is the no flame zone but that doesn’t allow for laziness!
