Some of the old 16803 had a purple hue to them with some age. Those watches had a very deep blue/purple.

Some late 16613 blue sunburst the deep blue transitioned into a flatter blue. (Om3ga_guy has some comparo pics). We swapped gen dials for our 16613 and noticed the differences.

Thanks for the info guys.. I also just happened to read in some forums that older 16613 might have the sunburst blue dial faded into purplish hue dial. The old circa years like late 80s to mid 90s.

So if this rep I have has got no rehaut engraving, and has laser etched crown.. It should be of the mid 2000. However when I saw the lug it's engraved series R which is for 1987-1989. If it's an R series and fades into purplish hued dial it sounds good, but with an R series it should have been swiss - T < 25 instead of swiss made and crystal should not be a LEC one.

Ok let's say I ignore the R series number at the lug, and to mod it to an actual sunburst blue with a correct blue insert, where should I look at to be getting a good sunburst blue dial and insert (besides frankening with gen parts)? Any recommendation also for a good crown?

Apologies for my longwinded-ness.. I do feel I commented too long and asked too much.. Please pardon me on that. And thank you for the valued info and advice..

Last I heard BK had the WM9 parts you need. Pm him your parts list. I'd suggest a new datewheel as well.

Wow coming from you I'll take that :)
I'm really not sure what case it is a few have said it might be as the Swiss made is slightly to the left

the gen bracelet clicked into place as if it was off this watch

I bloody love it

I'll put some better photos up later

It's MBW. Dial is always a give away with the swiss made offset. Personslly I think you're crazy to load it up with gen parts. You'll be over half the price of a gen. I know, I did it and regret it. I should have stepped up into a gen 16613. These days I'm more bent over the 116613, but there's no decent rep of it worth having. I'll stick to my Milgauss for now...

MBW is what I figured. DSSD man you certainly got a great price on that bracelet, I can see why would would want to build that watch up.

I certainly agree with Ruprekt though. It sounds like he went thru the same journey CeoCorona and I did. I was at about $4,600.00USD by the time I finished my TT and that had a gen 3135 movement. My price included some great deals along the way too.

Lucky for me I was able to pass my beauty onto a good buddy of mine and ended up going GEN 16710. I miss my TT everyday, but I also love have my gen now. Bitter sweet man but if the TT is your grail go for it. Just hope you dont regret it later along the way!

If I can find myself a STOCK WM9 16613 one day I'll probably pick her up and leave her untouched. The TT is a money sucking watch man ;)

Here she is before I passed her onto MGHM3
