TC Elabore 2824 Yacht Master 16622 First Look

I have just read that the Yacht-Master case is 41.5 mm...vs. 40mm for the sub (I thought it was a 40mm).
I did not know this was/is a larger watch.
I like that.

For those who have already received their watch...is the TC true to form?

In your picture it does look that way, although it is slanting favoring the YM. I also never really noticed the proportions making the bezel smaller than the case, unlike the sub which is 40mm/40mm. I like that feature as well...just a tad more elegance. Perhaps others will chime in.

I think it's an illusion because of it's lugs and case shape being different than the Sub and most importantly it's got polished lugs so it leads to think it wears bigger than the Sub which is black on steel and wears a bit smaller than it looks.

I apologize for not being able to see the diference in the two photo's regarding the 'Swiss Made'. But I do notice the amount of additional space in the zero's (O's) on the 'newer' bezel. If the first photo is 'gen'...the second photo is NOT the TC.

2nd photo apears to be 'newer' dial/bezel...older bracelet...no?!

Which I interperate to mean that the TC YM IS NOT 41.5mm...but 40mm...which would therefore mean that the bezel is 39mm or 38mm...as the bezel is clearly smaller than the case...?!

As of all things Rolex dials, there are always variations, the gen ym "swiss made" spacing on the bottom has a few variations.. We should all know this by now!!

Well,

My TC Yacht-Master just arrived. That was faster than expected, about 3 1/2 weeks. It is sitting on my desk un-opened, as I have some things to take care of first.

My daily 'wear' is a gen omega 2255 that is also a 41.5mm case. I will compare 41.5 with 41.5.

As for the Subs and a lot of other Rolex refs the Swiss Made print had a few different types of prints. The print used on the old TC FD YM was also correct even though a lot of people screamed it was a dead tell but it's not. I've had a gen with that kinda spacing.

The spacing on the Swiss Made has been changing during the few series of production.

This link has been talked about already on the gen forums, and everyone says the YM is 40mm, it always has been..

Update: John Holbrook says the 16622 is 40mm.

Current Rolex website states the 116622 is 40mm.

So I take a lot of Pics in different Angels and Lights of the Dial.
