TC Elabore 2824 Yacht Master 16622 First Look

I've really struggled to get a decent picture. I've no macro lens but here is an iPhone picture zoomed right in. It's to the left of the triangle.
Trouble is it looks a dark mark on the photo but it really catches the light and shines real bright in the daylight. Once you see it you can help but notice it and I saw it right out of the box.
As I've said all along, it's only small and I'm not kicking up a major fuss over it, I wasn't sure whether it was enough to be a justifiable issue, it's more the lack of communication that is disappointing me.

I was just looking at mine under a 5 power loupe and found some scratches that look like they were sand blasted over just right of the 30 and a few other micro marks, Really you will learn with time, patience and money to see this more as a hobby to have fun with and learn from. I uncased a Omega the other day to clean some dial indices and learned real fast how easy it is not to make a little mess into a bigger mess. I give credit to these China Men who build these things. They are doing a damn good job.
remember TC travels for work out of country and has a real full time job. You probably are in priority 3 or 4 level. Did you read everything in his Blog and also other threads about his products and customer service. This is just the way it is, Live with it or sell it or get a genuine insert or beg for a new insert.

And i totally understand your frustration....
But i think you need to look at the reason you got the watch....
Is this going to be a safe queen?
if so then id try to get it sorted (fixed)
If you are planning on WEARing it , i think that blemish will be hidden soon, and it wont even bother you.....

I have the same issue with mine. And an interesting bezel scratch over at 5 o'clock marker. It really is so hard to seek perfection for the price yet alone even in gens brother. I'd just take it easy and enjoy the watch as is. Get a cape cod & polishing microfiber cloth, do a nice polish once in a while and you'll be good. Don't get it stuck over your head. Enjoy your watch, after all it was built for you to enjoy! Don't forget TC takes really long time to build these and he is busy all the time so communication can be rather slow!

Appreciate all the replies. I think I've been pretty honest all along, saying it is small and I am likely to accept it as it is. I'm not fussy and said all of this in my emails to TC. I'm not looking for perfection but thought it was enough to raise the issue with him, partly for his own QC benefits as I believe he doesn't build all of them personally.? The last thing I want to do is diss him and I said so in the messages to him. With the risk of repeating myself it was the lack of response after 16 days which disappointed me more.
Anyway enough said, I love the watch regardless and I'm certainly going to wear it s lot.

Nah, love it anyway but if I didn't disclose it in an M2M I would justifiably expect a remark from the buyer once they received it.

That dent is really tiny, just buy a $2 eight-sided nail polishing file (they go from rough sanding paper to ultra-fine film) from the beauty shop and go over it and it will vanish.
The gen YM is among the most scratch-attracting models of the brand and You can´t replace it for cheap, one of the reasons given for it loosing more value than others when 2nd hand.

So when is the TC YM V2 vs the BK WM9 YM post coming up ? I got the BK YM, love the fact that's it's genuine ETA had it serviced three month ago works like a champ ! So what I like about the TC KH dial is that the indexes are flat, on the BK YM there are thicker that's a bit a of a giveaway and I love the gloss red yacht master in the TC YM, on the BK it's printed and i know there are some genuine version of the YM that has the printed but i just thinks it's looks better gloss red. I guess the BK YM case has a better overall feel and finish since these guys were know as the best counterfeit rolex case makers before they disappeared. But if anyone that has both can chime in i'd like to hear what they have to say !
Post some macro pics of your BK and let's compare. I think the TC is miles better
