When I have seen this one on PT's website couple of days ago, the thumbnail was not attractive at all. Last night I gave it a try, I clicked. OMG! the video on PT website really opened my eyes on this watch.

After a couple of research on the net I found this french forum, where a guy bought the gen and posted pics of it. See page 2 of this thread:

Fantastic looking rep. Only two flaws I can see are the datewheel font and the tachymetre text and numerals being a little too close to the outside of the rehaut. On the gen it's a little inside of the center. On the rep it appears to be outside of the center. Small detail though.

I've never seen a gen of the watch in person except in photos on the web. It's quite a hard watch to capture because the face changes colour with light and angle. Cleanup, you're probably right about the date wheel font and placement of tachymetre. I picked up that the engraving of the SLR is not as sharp and well defined as that of the gen. No one sees it on the wrist anyway.

I've had a chance to wear it all weekend and I have to say I'm really drawn to the way this watch looks. This is my current favourite. It's elegant and captures the racing heritage of the past, being competitive and yet gentlemen like nature. Hard to explain but the design of this watch speaks to me more than others in my watch box.

You're lucky.
I've asked my AD for this one but they can't have it anymore.

And for the rep, they will update the datewheel once the current stock is sold out.

Is the 41mm noticeably smaller than say the 44mm carrera? I usually wear that but I'm hesitant about the 41mm being too small. But it's gorgeous though. Congrats

it's 3 mm smaller... :D

It depends of your wrist but I don't think It will look too small.

Tell us when you buy it :)

Now, the font of the datewheel is correct, as you can see on this QC pics (From Puretime):

Hi guys,

Please let me know what do you think about the indicators(?), not only the two with the red narrow. Is it light, camera angel and bad camera adjustment, or do you think it is a flaw? And what about the first "S" of "SWISS"? Same thing? Maybe I'm too picky (or I'm right) but it is not about asking for another rep since I'm approving anyway the QC because I like everything else about this rep. I just need a neutral opinion. :)

I think for a rep it looks just fine. Things always look a little rough when magnified 10x. You'll never notice that stuff in real life. Perfection can be had for a measly $4500 if that's what you really want ;)

I just pulled the trigger on this one, and got a rolex Cellini for the other half. Hope that keeps me out of hot water. Will update when I get it!
