This is super exciting! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the completed straps, and I'm also very interested in a stretch strap for my 011 if that's a future project you're thinking about. Keep up the great work!

Inserts for the prototype velcro strap are ready. The insert for elastic strap is also getting closer. I like this latest one, will be needed just little tweaks and we're good to go.

Is this the final product? It’s not as wide as the gen straps and they usually curve towards the tip

not final and not even close. I'm just playing with options. Also there is no buckle on that strap, it is just elastic band so it cannot thin down to the buckle. Yes the connecting pieces wrapped in that kevlar/cordura whatever material are wider at top and narrowing down to almost the width of the band. You'll see more interpretations of the elastic band to "endlinks" attachment in the coming weeks.

As for the hook and loop aka velcro strap that will be ready next week or maybe end of this one. That one is pretty straightforward and i have made already those ones for other watches, just that i had to make sure the inserts fit perfectly.

The velcro strap was started then we've discovered a flaw in the insert design. Changed the insert and now i have a new pair of prototype inserts on hand and so starting over that velcro from Monday.

Still pretty far from final product.

We gotta make some more adjustments to the insert and then find a way to "seamlessly" cover it with that fabric.

I will also be using alcantara and alligator leather as options for that piece covering material.
