Yeah, you know how it goes. Not every strap works but most work in way you don’t even realize. I can’t tell you how many times I bought a strap for my 799 and it didn’t look nearly as good as I thought it would but when I put it on the 1616. Or I’ll get one for the 569 but it works best on the 695.

i guess all I was trying to really say though is that you can find good straps at a reasonable price. There’s also Martu... i think. I’ve never used her but she has some great prices and the forum has said many great things. Those top tier straps are nice from those expensive makers like corrigia and isis Thomas but you don’t need to spend $380 on a strap to have a nice feel and look. Also hit the member to member section. Some users rotate straps like crazy and some can be had for great prices.

I know that feeling well, hence forever searching for something special....

1312 could be very versatile in that you could probably find a nice vintage tan strap to go with the indices. I would personally try to find a blue croc to kind of match the second hand (Orloff, Ziczac, AP all make great croc straps at different price points).

Black straps would always look on any pams of course and you could even pick a completely different color strap to avoid clashing.

superspark69 thanks for these photos! I can program computers and rebuild car engines but quality leather work like this is a black art and magical mystery. I so appreciate the artistry!

SuperSpark those look awesome I especially like the dark leather.

Are they going to snap on or are those your cases, having the strap put on soldered lugs?

New watch day strap decisions.......

What shall I go with for my new 622, dug out a few of the 26mm straps to see what will go well with this watch, im already under this impression that this 622 is a real clothes horse and will look damn good with anything!. Upgraded the springbars to GEN Panerai ones too. (just because I have boxes of Gen Panerai screws, lug bars etc).

I have a lovely ammo strap I picked up from somewhere but have struggled to identify the maker, anyone any ideas?

Could be an older variation of one of Simona's logo's? Here's a very similar logo from before they switched fully to the Duomo silhouette:
