That thought crossed my mind as well, Google knows an "Andreas Bittner" who's living in the same village as this watch dealer. Might just be a coincidence though.

There are no coincidences, only the illusion of coincidence. V

If he does not cooperate, you can point out to him that §259 StGB (receiving stolen goods) and §263 StGB (fraud) are not trivial offences ... especially not if you earn your money as a watch dealer ;-)

Seller says this, meaning is lost in translation or can you guys interpret this?

''I will give you name and address from seller and we will return everything.
But that all people get their money back it has to be the same way return then before...''

If he wrote this in German this would be better understandable ;-)
Will he return the watches to you or to the seller? Thats not 100% clear.

That seller should be dragged through deep shit for this. He's committing multiple serious offenses already and likely has defrauded other people before this. Luckily German authorities tend to take fraud seriously.

Yeah. But he should send the two watches to our friend up_right before(!) things get serious for him. Otherwise they may go to an evidence chamber probably never to be seen again. I dont know if the German authorities give Reps back to the "legal" owner ;-)

The latest from the seller, starting to sound very suspicious.

''I will give you that information as soon as I get it. You are from where in Spain? I will give the watch back on the trader show WTA in munich may 14th to the Spain dealer and he will give back to Spain police. I promise.''

I have asked him for the contact info of the original seller, and invoices. So far, nothing!

Sounds bs to me.
A delaying tactic imho, nothing more.

I'd issue an ultimatum, send the watches today or you're passing all the information to the police.

Why don't you write to him and ask him whether he thinks it would make more sense for you to file charges against him and for the police to collect the watches from the WTA in Munich, or whether it wouldn't be smarter for him to send the watches to you?

Doesn't make sense at all. Seller says:

''I will give you name and address of Re seller today. It's not allowed to give you data of my seller because of data protection.. German law.

Everything will work...''

Unfortunately that's correct, the german data protection law is very strict....you can rape in germany and get a small fine....but if you disregard data protection, things really goin south

Got it. I asked him to file a police report, and if not then I will for him. Let's see what he says.

If I were you I would explain to Mr. Bräu that the WTA certainly has an interest in knowing that counterfeit and stolen watches change hands at their events....

if you want to contact them: https://www.wtashows.com/index.php?Kontakt

The seller gave me the name and number of the contact in Barcelona who he claims to have purchased the watches from. He told me that he will return the watches to the seller in May and I 'will be able to pick them up then'.

Tomorrow I will file another police report to associate the name of this Spanish vendor with the watches and robbery.
