To celebrate this new thread, Im kicking it off with, the new fastest production car in the world!
Everyone knows it, the Bugatti Veyron!
Bugatti was founded in Molshiem, France as a manufacturer of high performance automobiles by Ettore Bugatti, an Italian immigrant described as an eccentric genius.
Bugatti started out making a few models, not many, but they were still very exclusive.
Bugatti went out of business in the car industry, as of many other high performence car manufactueres did, at around 1960
a couple workers from bugatti teamed up in the 90s to make one last car
the B Engineering Edonis
Not the prettiest thing ever made... IMHO
but it was fast!
it had a Twin Turbo V12
720bhp
590 ft lb of torque
0-60mph in 4 seconds
0-100mph in 8.2 seconds
it weighs 1500kg/3307lbs
and the price 730,000 CAD
At 2006, Bugatti anounced it will be producing the Veyron, VW nearly immidiatley bought bugatti after
After the release of the standard veyron, bugatti started work on a few limited edition version
Like this Pur Sang
A polished carbon fiber and aluminium version, limited to 2
and the Fbg Par Hermes
And then came the Roadster version, the Grand Sport
Then the Sang Noir
and the Centenaire
and the Sang Bleu, which is a variation of the grand sport
All of these variations had roughly the same performence, that I know of, as the origonal veyron
here are the performence figures
64vavle quad turbo W16
1001 bhp
922 ft ld of torque
0-60mph in 3 seconds
and a wopping top speed of 252mph/407kmh
and it weighs 1950kg/4299lbs
Now Bugatti has recently anounced that they are making the Galibier 16C
And now, Bugatti has set a new land speed record for the fastest production car, at 267mph/431mkh
set in the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport!!!
That has to be the longet post I have ever done.
Hope you enjoyed that little snippet of Bugatti history!
