Considering buying a 1680 and I'm wondering what the difference is between the 2813 and 2836 versions? Is it just the movement or is the build quality also improved? Are the sizes of the case the same (read somewhere that the 2813 is thinner, so should have a thinner case).

Do you think the 2836 version warrants the $70 price bump?

2836 is a better movement. imo it is worth the extra money.

M are these still available? Rick modded a 1680 for me but I sold it when he built me the 1685. Now I want my 1680 back. If you have them I will buy one when I make my order on the 1st of Sept.

The price is in the description. I have 2 of these, 1665 and a 1680. You cannot beat the price, and actually a nice looking rep. And MR is an awesome TD.

I am so confused what is Cartel and what is JKF, i need to buy Cartel for my mod.
I know Sead has vintage 5513 which is Cartel, but these are a little cheapee

Cartel is exactly the same as jkf

Stock. I just sanded the cyclops off with increasingly fine sandpaper up to 2000grit. Then polished it by hand with toothpaste then poly watch.

Omg thank you! Did you protect the rest of the face with gaffer tape or something? Which grits of sandpaper did you use/how much sanding would you say you did?

I absolutely need to do this. I can't stand the Cyclops!

I didn't tape anything off. I started at about 400 on the cyclops itself, then 800, 1200, 1600, 2000. By the end you need to sand the whole crystal, otherwise the surface is irregular and creates distortions. Took about 30 mins total.

I was just told they were still out (a few hours ago), but to check back again end of next week.

Can anyone comment as to the quality of the bracelet that comes with these? MR will sell without a bracelet for a small discount, so if the bracelet is not highly thought of, I will go with head only.
