I'm very sorry but I don't understand half of the words in that last sentence :)
I would be really nice if you could please try to rephrase :)

Sorry all, little translation for my friend: Je crois qu'il a voulu dire qu'il a fait sortir la tige de remontoir du boitier d'un mn de + et qu'il a mit 1 petit coup de dremel sur l'intérieur de la couronne (la ou le roller ball du protège couronne vient s'appuyer en position fermée), en fait la couronne devient + creusée ce qui permet de regagner le mn sans toucher au levier du protège couronne.

Get it Wiz ? ^^

Thanks :)

But how do you make the stem come out more? Outisde of getting a longer stem I don't see how you could do it.

You don't make the stem longer, you just don't thread the crown *all* the way down onto the stem. I would assume you need to use some Loc-Tite to keep the crown from moving.

Well that makes sense although I think I would just get a new stem and cut it a little longer. I'm always trying to find ways to lengthen my ahem, stem.

Even with threadlocker that's a huge risk, but I guess on this one it's not that of a big issue since there is a crown guard to prevent the crown from falling.

Normally You need a longer stem ( my opinion is that You need ALL the threads in the crown as there is only a couple of mm:s of threads in the crown !) as the loctite sometimes is not strong enough.

And always be careful with loctite on smaller screws as it might be impossible to unscrew them !

Use the weakest of the three strenghs of there is to buy!

In the WC thread, I didn't see where anyone backed the crown out, just ground down the crown dish. Did I miss something?

If you dont back the crown out the lever will be floppy brother...

The lever wont touch bc the spacing will be too wide. So you back the crown out on the stem (to show hex tube) and then it allows the lever to touch it.

Yeah, thanks a lot for the pics!
The nail file is because the teeths of the crown are too sharp?

So the best option would be to obtain a longer stem, move the tube out and dremel the crown?

Will a new crown from another maker solve the problem? Appears to me to be a stem length issue. The case should be the same dimension as all the other cases? No?
