Just checked back in with this thread.

I am glad the right action was taken.

I think what was unbelievable was the post he made.

Trying to justify his actions, they would be almost acceptable if he had been here two weeks.
but 2 years ??

Not even contrite for the aggravation he has caused.

If you have a PayPal account and you have your bank account and/or bank card linked to it, why would you need to leave any money in the PayPal account at all? This really seems totally unnecessary to me. I have a PayPal balance of 0.00 and when I use the account the money is instantly supplied from my Bank Account or Card.

If we all did this, then people would not be stating things like "this is why I don't do m2m sales" etc.

While I'm on my high horse... I have seen posts stating that gift payments are now allowed. When I suggested this before I was totally shot down by certain long term members and massively ridiculed as a 'naive newbie'. If it is true that gift payments are now acceptable would any wise oldies care to comment. If gift payments are still not accepted then I'm in the Dudu. Lol

Gift payments are now OK because PP's rules have changed. Gift can now be disputed for starters and since a PP dispute may now be opened up to 180 (!) days after payment the Admin Team felt that the rules are now hopelessly lopsided in favor of the buyer and that it was no longer reasonable to expect sellers to offer PP as a must.
