I just can't do it with PAMs.... the reps are so freaking close.

Whilst I agree with this, as many have said in the thread before me; there is something very nice about it being a gen. The quality of material, the solidness of the movement etc all add to the feeling of it. Plus I got it at a brilliant price (!) which helps ;)

On the flip side, my 243 will never go as it really is basically gen build!

I never went gen on any models I owned, Skyland, GMT2c, Omega Skyfall, but I am rep-free... :D I'm clean and tbh... It sucks. Lol, the affordability of reps make them addictive! And the fact they are so close to gen is unreal...

Im going back to the dark side but duno which model to start with again, lol

There are several recent Panerais that I would never buy as a gen (000, 005, 127 (because of Marlin), 390, etc... Basically any closed back 6497 hand wound) but the list of gorgeous watches that will never be repped on a mass scale accurately is too long to list. There are PLENTY of good gen purchase options: gens with vintage T-dials or gens with in house movements.

Sorry, what I meant was gen watches with T-dials or gen watches with in-house movements
