Looks real good! Now I have to do this on mine
Can you please post the pictures again as they have disappearedHey all,
Just wanted to share my results of rehaut polish on a VSF 126610LN. I am pretty happy with the results, in real life it does pop more than on pictures, but I could have polished a bit more. I was worried about overpolishing it - there's a thread on reddit where rehaut was so overpolished, the letters started to disappear.
The VSF 126613LN does not have a polished rehaut, just to compare. Obviously lightning isn't totally uniform and my camera skills are subpar, but nevertheless, here are the results:
This was all done using cape cod, unfortunately I do not have my Dremel yet, I might repolish a little bit more when I get it, but I think it's quite sufficient for now, at least to my taste
Do let me know what you think
Thanks so much and great job
Thanks mate, I would highly recommend everyone getting it, it makes the sub pop so much in the light and it's one of the biggest tells of the VSF, yet it's a very easy modThanks so much and great job
Exact same experience! Its going to be really hard to overpolish with a cape cod wipe. You seriously have to sit there for an hour to do any damage.
However with a dremel and polishing compound, you can fuck it up in 3 seconds. So keep that in mind.
Yeah.. No reason not to use cape cod, it does take a bit of time, but who cares, right, better than completely ruining the case. Also so simple, with dremel you have to know what to do, with cape cod you can be a monkey like me to execute itExact same experience!
i recommend sticking with cape cod and doing it by hand. Don't use a dremel.
There are some reps with rehaut engravings (e.g., from djf,, bp, gmf, etc.) that have extremely faint rehaut etchings. One round of dremel with autosol or polishing compound will make the rehaut engravings very faint.
Have you got any tips on how you did it?Thank you

Did you remove the crystal? I’ve just got a VSF 126610lv and the rehaut needs a polish. I’d like to do it myself.
Thanks mate! I’ve got a crystal press and I’ve modded quite a lot of seiko’s with it but a bit hesitant to use it on this for some reasonNo need to remove the crystal, just try to avoid using cape cod on it, by pressing firmly on the side, on the rehaut. Obviously, you can get better results with crystal removed, but you need proper tools to do that and you also risk cracking the crystal. Without removing it, it's actually very simple and only takes like 30 minutes to complete the process
Good luck, post the results once you're done

That’s what I was worried about. I might mask it off or just pop the crystal outI don't think the crystal itself would take damage, the AR coating is what I'd be worried about.
No need to remove the crystal. Remove the caseback, crown and movement and use capecod to polish the rehaut.Have you got any tips on how you did it?
