It’ll definitely be harder to keep clean but I’ve got multiple white g shocks and rubber straps for watches, you’ll just have to give it a wipe with an alcohol pad occasionally.

I’ll be buying the gen eventually but it’s good to know that a gen movement is barely more than the one for the other models. If they can make a decent rep with the wrong movement it would be an easy swap.

For me, it's not the movement
Look at the printing of the snoopy, the subdials, moonphase, and the careful lume application of the unique text on the moonphase.
I doubt rep factories will care too much about such details.
