So what do you think the chances are of us getting a PVD skyland within the next few months? Seems like there wouldn't be a whole lot to it. Thoughts?

i don't see the point of buying a pvd version. since the gen is blackened metal when you scratch it will still look the same color, when you scratch a pvd coated watch it looks silver because it is only a coating on top like paint. i had a 195 from davidsen and it made it about 1 week before it was scratched. pvd isn't bullet proof and a scratch on that watch will be just like a gold plated watch with the gold wore off, unwearable.
I'm hoping that they are planning on a true "black steel" rep, not just PVD. From what I hear, the process is not that complicated or expensive, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Indeed... It involves hardening process as well (the gen is not pure PVD over 316L steel). I would suggest that we wait and see but so far, this replica is not without a couple of minor flaws. Angus is suggesting that there may be second version.
