348 Spider - the last true driver made. No power steering, manual gearbox. Even a child can drive the latest models, while sipping a cappuccino & texting. Sad...

That is one Beautiful car, but I prefer the 355 F1.....

the348 has to be one of the best looking Ferrari's ever made.

I am always surprised when people say that (and they say it a lot!). Believe it or not, the 348 & 355 are the same chassis. Only the door panels and bumpers are different. A few more horses.

If it were me, I would skip the 355 & move up to a 360. Since both have power steering, power seats, and other feminine comforts  The 355 suffers from a poor header design and can have valve issues. Also, the early F1 systems are buggy. Not every car, but most. Plus with the 360 you get the advantage of engine-in maintenance! Your majors are $2500 versus $5000. If you do the work yourself, knock another grand off that.

I like the looks of the F355 just a bit more, mainly the back, not a big fan of the testarossa style rear grill

And I LOVE the 360, but I would need the challange stradale

You are my favorite RWI member now!!!

If I was still a baller, I would buy one. I had the chance to drive one (thanks to a gracious friend who sadly moved far away) and it was amazing. While at times my soul felt like it should have a standard shift, my mind knew that this generation of F1 transmission made the most sense for a performance vehicle where milliseconds count.

Unfortunately, after the fun day I had in the 360CS, I got back into my BMW with SMG transmission... and was totally let down. Ended up selling it for a big loss a month later. Don't taste luxury if you can't afford it!

Thanks, picked it up a month ago. Flew out to San Francisco and drove it back home (2,200 miles). Fun drive!

My Aston came from Marine county, drove it to MOntana. The 911 came from Atlanta, drove it up to Montana... 2500 miles.
