I'm planning on installing exterior S-line packet once it comes. It's just too expensive if I order it with one; nearly $7k. I can buy all the parts from eBay and it'll cost me a little over $2k

Sounds good. BTW, if you want some websites to find S-Line parts and some hard-to-find euro parts, shoot me a message ;)

Last month did some swapping out of vehicles.
Dumped my Mercedes CLS:

and Jeep Cherokee Overland:

The overland is by far the nicest of the bunch (and ironically cheapest by far). Plus I have 2 new vehicles to start mod'ing (and about an extra $500/month to do it with).

Oh and I still have the bike and quad:

Manx - love the Overland! The first Jeep I've ever liked...the interior is really quite nice.

Shanno - nice Scooby :D

Yeah I feel the same way, have had a lot of nice cars and this jeep can hold its own. It finish is excellent and all the materials have a very high quality feel.

I agree...you can really see the pre-departure Mercedes influence at work. The soft-touch dash in particular is impressive.

You got rid of a CLS or a CTS that's not a V ??

Trust me, it was a serious consideration... I Drive 100+ miles a day, wanted something a little more practical. CLS was expensive to maintain ($1500 tires every year, plus $200/$300 service) and wasn't the most reliable.

Other then performance, the CTS actually suits me better... Panoramic roof, hard drive based nav system with dvd (go lockpick), awd for the snow, 25-28mpg on regular.

I'll be looking for a third car next year, srt-8 or cts-v are in the running.

Skyline GTR

Man, I see the Skyline GTR over here in Japan on a regular basis and I can tell you it's one serious vehicle. The new one ain't no joke either, if you have the mone. Nissan finally decided to rerelease them and they're pretty hard to come by. My wife's mom used to drive a GTS Skyline, and even that thing was fast. Fun. Always nice to dream.....

Show off your car in this thread!

I've owned nothing but Nissans since my 1st car. A bit of a Nissan Nazi at heart.

Before my current car I had an SE-R with a bunch of nismo stuff on it. I traded that in for a black on black 2010 CX-7 turbo. The wife and I plan to have children soon, and the SE-R was small and obnoxious. So, she drives the CX-7 and...

My current car:

2008 Winter Frost Altima Coupe.

VQ35DE – 3.5L 6spd Manual, 270 hp @ 6,000 rpm, 258 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm.

No it's not.

I drove a 2011 550i when I bought my X5, but my wife wanted the SUV since we have a one year old daughter. The F10 M5 is going to be a BEAST !

You're right, the E34 M5 was better ;)

The new one will be insane though...they just keep getting faster and faster. I remember when I first heard E60 M5 go by...sent tingles down my spine. Almost as nice as the Z8 I once had the privilege of driving (up and down the street :D ) I'm just a purist at heart, which is why I keep saying the old ones are better...but your X5 is one of the next cars on my short list of family haulers.

All this talk makes me miss my bimmers though.

I'll take some ;-)

See you on the street. I hope you have some mods. My GT put down 465 to the wheels and 510TQ :)

Before I got the X5 last month, I was drooling over the CTS-V. What a beast ! Unfortunately my wife was clamoring for an SUV !
