Just found out about this thread! Here are my four-legged friends!

Our Bullmastiff, named Boris (pure bred, CKC-registered), past away this fall, at the early age of 9½ years old. He suffered from severe congestive heart failure and went from 130lbs to 80lbs over a couple of months only. It was a great loss for us.

Ely, a 6 years old Pit mix we adopted at our local shelter when she was 1½. She drives us crazy because of her energy level, but being a "mutt", the older she gets, the more health problems she starts to develop. It's sad, because the way things are going, we don't think she'll ever pass the age of 10 either.. :console:

We also have 2 cats, both adopted at our local shelter. Arnold, a Siamese and Marvin, a fat-ass yellow long haired domestic cat. I have no pictures of them, unfortunately.

As you can tell, we are accustomed to having stray hair on our clothes all the time...!

Beautiful dogs man. Very sorry for your loss. I love that pic of Boris, what a beautiful creature. Love big dogs. We had a fawn Great Dane that lived to be 13 which is very unusual as they have similar issues that the Mastiffs do with heart disease. It took quite a while before we were ready to get another dog and I was shopping for a bullmastiff for a birthday gift for me wife when she brought home a little fur ball she found in a snowbank half dead. So went from acquiring a 200 pound dog to a 20 pound dog. Love her just as much though. I still want to get another big dog soon though.

droptopman - funny thing you mentioned Mastiff dogs. 3 years ago (before we adopted our Pitbull), we put a deposit on a litter of English Mastiff for a #2 choice male. Both father and mother were exceptional breed ambassadors (she was BISS AM CAN CH and he was a AUST. CH 240lbs therapy dog). Unfortunately, life got in the way and we had to pull out our reservation.

Now that we are looking for another dog, that same breeder we gave our deposit to stopped her English Mastiff breeding program but she is now starting to build a good foundation to a French Bulldog breeding program. She has a nice little CAN CH female and is looking hard and through for a complementary male with his health testings. We should be welcoming a baby Frenchy by next summer if all goes well!

It will be my first smaller breed (though my parents had a Cocker Spaniel when I was younger and living with them) but I'm told that they are a 200lbs Mastiff stuck in a 25lbs body, comportment-wise!

Thank you for the encouragement and they are reciprocal to you, too! Dogs surely can steal your heart!

Edit* I forgot to mention how cute your dog looks!

Wow, Molly looks like my first westie Aberdeen. Still the best, and smartest dog of all time. What a beaut! Now I must go return some video tapes.

Thanks man, such a lovely dog and a fantastic temperament.

Haha Love the reference ;)

Here´s Panda, the frencie ;)

Very nice Frenchie! We are currently in touch with a breeder and should be on the list for a male pup come next summer! How would you describe their character and energy level in "real life experience"?

Had a few dogs in the past but the frencie..... The most stubborn animal ever :)
it does sleep in the bed and really thinks she's a human being. But I love her to death and back....
These do have health issues so choose the breeder well.
