I understand. I want to put mine in the D/Z series, so I need a crystal with LEC non AR.
It was difficult to install? Need obligatory a press?

For the crown: very much diffence? In photos seems the TC crown is near perfect, indistinguishable for me.

Yep that's right. You will definitely need a press although I rigged up a makeshift one with a C clamp and a random lid that fitted round the retainer lol!

No the crown's not that much different. Up close, the teeth are more finely polished, and the crown is a bit sharper but it's not a world of difference, the TC ones are very good!

In order of upgrades I'd go insert-crystal-crown (maybe crystal first if you have a blue tinted one)

Is really no blue tinted, but will be my next upgrade.
Hope to find a brand new one and with the occasion I wanna ask my watchmaker to mod the movement to improve the date change.

. Bought this one M2M last summer. Either V5 or V6. I liked it enough to order a V7 Extreme. I liked the V7E enough to order a new TC bracelet for the LV, which just arrived and was summarily installed. A noticeable improvement.

That's pretty lucky then!

I think it'll be a big improvement anyway, the clarity and sharpness of the gen cyclops is excellent.

Yes, is correct an F, but in the latest posts there is a thread union regarding the dials.
And the TC dial seems to be for a Z and later, that's why I want the LEC non AR crystal, so will be period correct.

We had to consider that with dials there is overlapping with the series, first models of Z series may have the D dials and vice-versa

Another issue is the clasp...

Yes you're right there. Why do they have to make it so complicated lol.

A google search brings up various F serials with late D dials and at least 1 on chrono24 with the same dial as the TC: http://www.chrono24.com/rolex/rolex...ition-f-series-great-condition--id2884351.htm so there is definitely overlap, not going to worry too much about it.

Of course the clasp is another issue and would probably take a bit of luck to be able to solve it.

Now my biggest problem is if take the correct NON AR with LEC, or the one with AR... looking at the photos, I love the black hole effect the AR do!

Yup that's personal preference! Did I hear somewhere Rolex had discontinued the non-AR crystals so if you had it changed in a service wouldn't it be an AR one anyway?

I like it on the ceramic, not the 16610 :p

So you would need the "serviced"-S in the LEC.

Edit:
I'm sorry...just checked:
Full replacement-crystals don't have the S attached.

Do you mean the AR service crystals don't have the S? I didn't know that.

Some do, some don't. As far as I am informed they stopped producing ones with the extra S.
So again everything is mixed up in the Rolex world...really confusing.

Maybe someone is able to confirm this?

What period of sub has no engravings between the lugs [emoji6] .

So a 2008 16610 would have engraved rehaut right? So if you wanted period correct you'd need to change the clasp, have a crystal which matches the clasp and lug engravings which match the two? At that point you might as well put a yuki with gen hands.

So just buy a gen? Lol

I found some M serials on chrono24 with no rehaut engraving which would suggest you could work with the PJ clasp code. Regardless as mentioned elsewhere on the forum, a watch 10-15 yrs old wouldn't be unusual to have an replacement bracelet even Z serial to have had one after 2 years replaced wouldn't be unheard of.

Is there a thread on how to make TC subs period correct? for the perfectionists who find themselves spending so much money on reps they might as well go gen.

Whats up guys! Just put my order in with TC, and now the wait begins! Quick question though, I've read that some people have fitted the newer 6 digit bracelets on their 5 digit sub. Does the bracelet need any modification to be attached?
