Finally joined the TC Sub club. Received today, no notice of shipping, just showed up at my door. I'd been following the thread and thinking I might get the Sub in another 2 weeks or so...needless to say, this thing is bloody amazing.

Sweet! Welcome to the club!

Thanks! Now that I've seen this thing, I'm already itching for an LV. *scraaaaatch*

I feel you.... I have a TC LV and it's great... my issue was that I started putting gen parts into the TC watches... and wow wow wow!

I tried aging a DRSD (chronicled my trial, error, and frustration in the Vintage section) and what I learned from that is I need to let other people work on my watches[emoji23].

I haven't developed the ultra-gen tick yet, so frankens haven't really been on my radar. But this thing is like a disease. The more I read, the faster it spreads. Have you posted about any of your builds? I'm interested in seeing them/reading about them.

I have a TC v6 with gen insert coming in and am so excited to see it in person. I actually want to swap the gen insert for a gen blue insert to make it a bit more unique, even though there's no "real" rolex like that... and it makes me feel kind of bad, given how hard TC has worked to make a great sub!

That's awesome. I look forward to seeing some pics.

TC insert looks good enough. In my opinion, I'd rather spend money on a gen dial and hands set.

Well, when I bought it, it already had the gen insert, so that was just the icing on the cake since I'd been looking for a TC. I'll probably sell both if I can ever find a gen blue insert that's in decent condition. :)

I can understand the dial, but the hands aren't good enough either?

Ah, I see now. Before I decided to follow TC's advice, I was trolling C24 looking for inserts. I never came across a single blue insert, come to think of it. And every LV insert I saw was in the high hundreds of dollars. Almost as much as a gen dial. Just ridiculous prices.
atgm, I just went to look again. I found one without a pearl for ~$180, and a brand new one for $290. Check it out. Not sure if I should post links, but I can PM you if you wish.

Why not go for a decent flat 4 insert, gen dial and hands set.

If you're going for a gen dial, then why not the hands set as well.

C24 prices are extraordinarily high. There have been a few in the parts forum here, but they seem to come up very rarely albeit at much more reasonable prices... Someone had one up in a lot recently that I PMed about, but he didn't respond and sold it to someone else. :/

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into it. [emoji4]

Tough break. Hopefully you find one soon, man.

All stock Caddel Rouge from TC himself, when I bought this, TC was only using the supreme KH-dial on this model (he changed it about 1 month later).
It looks great but I´d suggest getting it with the white datewheel, like that it´s faster/easier to change to a standard TC by just changing the crystal and the seconds hand if You want to do so later without touching the movement.
