Anyone else have an issue with the bezel not turning easily? Seem to recall other TC watches have had this. What's the fix? New click spring or what?

Pop it off and clean it real good, you will be amazed how much dirt comes out of the groove and between the teeth. Clean the washer and the case top. I over lubed everything, assembled it and wiped it off real good. Went from tight lockup to nice perfect easy turning and click with two fingers.

Edit: I used gun oil but any oil should work, vegetables or olive oil would probably work fine too.

Have you tried pressing down and turning with 3 fingers?

Place your index finger on the 11 o'clock mark on the bezel your middle finger on the one o'clock and your thumb on 6. Push down as you turn...see if that works

That works, sort of... I had a gen 16610 years ago and never any issue with the bezel turning. Seeing how this has gen construction I don't see why it shouldn't be at least close to the same.

The problem with most TCs is there is a millimeter to much gap. Changing out the o ring under the retaining ring gave my TC a perfect bezel feel. Before it was very sloppy with to much play.

Where did you get your gasket? All I find are stock thickness gaskets!

To be honest I used an old gasket from a caseback. Had to stretch a little and when all pressed down it fit perfect. mike told me that is the size he uses to get a perfect bezel fit. Let me know if you find a .8mm gasket.

its strange though, because the part number for the 16610 case back gaskets looks to be 1.0mm

that part I liked above is for a .8mm gasket

I love the quality of this watch, but having the bezel be temperamental to turn like this brings down the quality feel a lot. I have to get this fixed or I'll just want to get rid of the watch. Pulling retainers/crystals etc isn't my thing. I'll send it off to someone who knows what they're doing and post on what was done to get it working right.

I'm so sorry to heard that mate, I've ordered the same watch from TC on 12th January, still waiting, I only hope that mine hasn't the same problems of yours, but I wouldn't bet. I think that all came from the same batch. Speak about this with TC?

Yours looks stunning. I really like the case lug improvements.

You are doing the right thing sending it out, unless you have the correct bench press to get the retainer back on - mine was a biatch to get back together ! ha ha

I do most work for myself but could not crack that task. Its a great watch though....

That's because TC retainer and gen retainer have a different groove at the bottom. That's Why .8 is needed for TC.

Pretty sure TC knows all about this problem with his watches.

I fitted a Cousins click spring on mine and repressed the crystal and retainer. I cheated and used an old Noob Sub bezel as an extra die to get the retainer as flush as possible. It took a lot of elbow grease, but was worth it as I have absolutely no bezel gap and no wobble.

It may be worth putting a slight bend in the tensioner as well - I found that this made quite a big difference to the 'feel' of the bezel rotation.
