The 16610 specialists are in here.. I'm trying to establish if this is a gen 16610 or ARF JF or other?

These are all the pics I have, it claimed to be a gen 2005 but has no b&p.. I have no other info.

Looks like GEN insert, Xtal & DW. Not too sure about the bracelet.

Thanks guys. I had my own thoughts about the bracelet, but it was the O link I was looking at, it looks a little deformed under the O and I was thinking the CG's looks a little stumpy but it's hard to tell. I'll find out the serial and clasp codes and see if it all adds up right. Thanks for your help.

I bought a TC V6 recently.

I took it apart and bathed the dial.

The dial is cleaned up, with dots, dirt, and residue removed.

Warm distilled water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing detergent. Then use cotton bud to clean.

Forgot to add that you need rinse it afterwards using distilled water to get rid of any detergent on it.

Forgive a 10+yr RWI aficionados laziness and very late in life affinity for (blue dial ) Rollies.. I tried but just can’t complete scrolling through the 185 pages of this thread — did the legendary TC ever create a Smurf masterpiece ?? Thanks with acceptance of all written abuse that follows !

Gen is heavier by 5g. TC clasp is broader and the blades have shorter ribs. TC clasp is a cheap feeling loose rattlefest, gen clasp is silky with a quality feel.

The cases are identical. I prefer the TC case as the gen has had a soften on the polish wheel by an idiot that shouldn’t be allowed to work on someone’s watch.

My thoughts - add chamfers and a gen bracelet or even just a gen clasp to your TC and it’s NWBIG. Add an insert and crystal too and you got something that a WIS would pass for gen.

TC only made 5 digit Subs. The Smurf is a 6 digit. The only iteration in the 5 digits was the Shark (Black dial, blue bezel) and TC did not make blue bezels as far as I know.
