Hello, i'm new here. Very cool forum, I love it! :)

I'm coming from Switzerland and i'm interested in some Watch Replicas (especially the ones with Valjoux 7750 28,800bph movement) :)

But i'm unsure about if it is safe or not. Any members from Switzerland here? Tell me about your experience with Swiss Customs.

What is the safest shipping method? Registered AirMail, EMS, DHL, UPS, Fedex?
How often they find the watches?

I hope it's the right section, I hope I will have a great time on this forum! I definately will post a lot pics when/if my watches arrive. haha

Hi there, and welcome. My suggestion if you are in Switzerland is to order from EU-based dealers. Avoid ordering directly from China. Precious Time, Narikaa and Time4Direct all have a service that ships out of the UK. Others may too. Have fun!

From what has been posted here before by Swiss members you may have trouble whereever/whoever you buy from.
Do you know anyone in EU country close by that the watch can be posted to and then picked up by you? If you do, just wear it home across border.
Swiss customs are VERY hard on reps and sizures are common place.

sounds bad :-(
I already ordered some from HongKong & China, hope they (or some of them) will pass Customs.

the UK-based dealers are interesting, is the risk still high? is it safe to send from UK to Germany? I know someone who lives near the german-swiss border. Because there are nearly no customs controls between DE & CH, it should be not a problem for him to cross the border and send it with swiss post to me.

would be great if some swiss users could share their experience with me.

GameStuff, who hopes that his watches will pass the customs :)

That's what I'v heard before. I forgot to mentain the legal letter bit. That's the other problem, you're on their home turf. I'd use your mate in Germany. He should have no problems from anywhere.

Hey, I ordered quite a few watches into Switzerland from the EU. No worries there. Might be something to do with the new Schengen rules (i.e., things are easier now from most European countries - do a search on the net for it)... But from China, I wouildn't try.

hmm, where you buy your reps? from UK, or other countries, and from which seller?
I don't like it to send everything to my german friend, I don't want that he gets trouble...

Already 2 reps are on the way to me from China, hope that at least one will pass... so that I can post my first pics, 8) :D

it's strange, because I tought Schengen don't will change any customs rules, only the rules for swiss citiziens entering the EU and EU citiziens entering CH. But maybe i'm wrong, idk.

you ever had problems with customs?

and @ itseme, you received letters from watch companies, did you pay something to solve it or what was the content of the letters? any legal problems?

thanks so much for the help!!! this forum is amazing! =) and sorry for my poor english, lol

Or Australia. We still have free hospitalisation and subsidised medcine. Most common prescription drugs cost us a flat $7 here. That includes ones worth thousands such as cancer and AIDS treatments.

I think Thailand even more, because many "normal" legal products got shipped from China like Chargers or batteries etc., but from thailand, nearly only counterfeits... where are you from?

I don't get it... Never had to pay a cent for any medication in Switzerland. Totally and fully covered, no matter how expensive, by the compulsory Krankenkasse/Caisse Maladie/Cassa Malati. Mind you, coverage is not cheap, but when you take into consideration all taxes, health costs etc faced by a resident per annum, it still compares very well to nations such as the UK and Australia. In most cases, you're better off.

lol, he spoke about "free" healthcare. the "krankenkasse" is not for free ;)
In Cuba, you don't need to pay the "Krankenkasse", their it is for free.

in UK & Australia you also have to pay. Only in Cuba and some few other nations it's for free.

but that's very off-topic, hehe
