Maybe it should be reported to Panerai directly ... does that ever happen ?

I came across a seller with rep bands selling as gen. eBay does nothing. People reported it. eBay called me to verbally tell them the situation. Seller is still there. They don't care. They want to sell high dollar products and get the commission. Unfortunately I doubt they do anything here.

Well, they don't 100% not care. Most of the reported replica watches here usually are taken down, either by the seller or ebay themselves. If you stop reporting, then the practice will continue.

Ebay do have a policy on this sort of thing, but I think the "anti-rep department" is heavily understaffed. I frequently report fake Rolex, sometimes they are taken down, although it usually takes a while before they react ( I imagine I'm not the only one reporting them ) sometimes the sale/auction goes through.

There was a rep Pam up for sale one time, I reported it, usually twice a day for about 2 weeks, annoyed that they just left it there when it was an obvious fake. I can't remember if it was removed or if it got sold in the end, but a couple of weeks later I had an email from Ebay asking me if I would like to be part of their anti-fraud team on that brand as I seemed to have 'expert knowledge' of Panerai - I didn't accept. True story - no, really, it's a true story.

Strangely they've never asked to be part of the Rolex team, despite the fact that I've reported dozens and dozens of them over the last few years - but then everybody is a Rolex expert - just need to weigh 'Em in your hand to know if it's fake or not....

What happens if the someone buys the watch? They can complain and file disputes with PayPal right?

I don't understand how so many reps get sold on eBay.

I hope the guy isn't on this forum what a sad sack of shit.
