Thanks. I really don't see any changes in the dial from previous version in those pics.

Many thanks for the additional pictures. The dial indeed looks the same as the v1 dial released months ago.

Alrighty. I am finally holding the watch in my hands and I must say I am really impressed. Originally ordered on the NATO strap, I ended up ordering a Omega style leather strap from Amazon and it really transformed the look and feel of the watch. Truly Vintage (despite being a "Bond" watch).

Now about the Bezel...it is tight! No wobble as seen in a video previously posted by Alexccmeister . Now I will admit that I have never handled the gen, but in my opinion it feels solid. My TD (Lucy) is meticulous with her QC, especially after telling her about certain past defects/flaws.

Feel free to ask if you want to know more about the watch. Yes it is a VSF.

Congrats and great that you have a tight bezel for the watch. If you are able, could you post some video of the bezel in action. When you say tight, will the bezel turn if you lightly rub it against your skin? Mine does that and that's why I say the bezel is not very good. If yours is tight than I know its an individual issue. Not the whole batch.

Before I post a video, I can confirm that it requires slight force to turn the bezel. It does not turn when rubbed against skin, clothing or anything similar the watch would encounter on a daily basis. I might have gotten lucky and I'm sure my TD (Lucy) had something to do with it, since I did point out that others, such as yourself, had that issue with their bezel. Your conclusion, that it appears to be on an individual basis, is therefore justified.

I'll try and post a video soon.

OK. Thanks. I think base on your description you probably don't need to post any video. Is Lucy from Puretime? Will speak to Angus about this bezel issue and see what he can do. I really like the watch but wearing it less due to the loose bezel.

Could you tell us how's your experience with the crown please? Is it loose or tight in position 2 & 3 and how is manual winding in position 1?

Winding in position 1 is smooth. Position 2 for quick-set of the hour is ok. Position 3 could be tighter (there is some play when switching between clockwise and counter-clockwise turns. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your input my friend. I've got my Spectre ordered through Lucy 2 days ago.

Can't wait to see her QC pic soon, yay!

Communicated with Lucy over email and I believe Lucy will add a personal touch for her clients. Will order from her in the future.

First off congratulation on the new acquisition. Looks like a VSF to me. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it seems you received a version with the "5" issue...
And yes, how is the bezel?

I couldn't stand having this loose bezel issue so I went with the cheapest fix ever.

Since there is a slight gap between the bezel and the watch case. I thought why not insert a thin piece of something in between and try to jam up the bezel mechanism a bit. Tried aluminium foil and that didn't work. That's when I found a piece of negative film lying around. Thought to myself this film is pretty stiff and thin. So I cut a small piece and inserted the film into the gap. Voila! now the bezel is tighter.

Not sure how long this fix will last. I guess as long as I don't try to turn the bezel too much, the film will keep the bezel tight in its track. At least it won't easily turn when my skin rub against it. Now I am happy.

Sorry for the bad lighing, that wasn't the best set up.

To the questions. I know that it is a VSF, but I have no clue which version. I bought it from another user here on the market.

Since this is my first rep I ever owned, I don't have much to compare. I own a gen SMP ceramic and a gen Tudor BB. I also had hundrets of seikos. The quality of the spectre is really good. The case brushing is nearly as god as on my gen smp. But some points I wolud like to mention.

The Bezel:
It is realy unfamiliar to have a bidirectional bezel action, but it is smoth and has a good "click". It is not to loose and not to hard to rotate. There is a bit of play, but my seikos have that too. It feels different than a diver bezel imho.

The Movment:
It looks really good, and runs 6 seconds to fast per day. I think that is really acceptable. One think that isn't gen like is the sound of the movment. There is some rattle to hear.

The Braclet:
That is the weekest part in my eyes. It is ok, the clasp with its fine adjustment woks, but it feels a bit cheap. The gaps betwenn the links are to big, so there is a lot of stretch out of the box. if you shake the watch, it rattles very loudly.

All in all I am really satisfied, and my next rep already arived. :D

Also: What is that discussion about the "5 Problem" ? I can't see any difference to the gen 5 on the spectre. Maybe I am just blind. :idontno:

Great pics! Thanks for the eye candy!
As long as you are content with the watch, that's all that really matters. Enjoy the watch!
