Got mine today. The flaws where already mentioned here. And yes, it is really made of "Carboteoh", the new Chinese miracle compound ;-)
But nevertheless I really like this model. The "Carboteoh"-Case is good ol´ VSF-quality and the 44mm are - at least for me - the sweet spot. This one of my most comfortable to wear watches and even the rubber strap is not that bad. So ... Non, je ne regrette rien ;-)

And here are lots of pictures ... may your mobile data volume melt away
Remember: Most of the pictures are taken in a light box with bright artificial light - in RL the case looks much darker and matte.

Thanks JB, that's soo close to being very very good, Sub dial, issues with the crown and crown guard pin and the spelling on the back.. lets hope for a V2 that corrects these.. unlikely but we can dream, anyway, congrats on the pickup mate!!

maybe this "Carboteoh" will be a "sought after" model one day
Yeah, like the misprint on rare stamps. My Carboteoh will end at Sothebys and I will become a millionaire 😂

Whoever put the details of the caseback in the CNC machine, check his Google history, think he may have been searching for Toes and Camels?

This was surely the Chinese twin brother of the European tattoo artist, separated since birth, who created these works of art ;-)

The concentric circles in the sub dial is similar to the earlier versions of the VSF 616, they made v2 and v3s of that watch, again, hoping they make a v2 that fixes these issues.. can you tell I really want this watch... :ROFLMAO:

They don't always get the bezel numbers right either, they need to be larger and with a dark grey paint fill..

They almost never get them right. It’s been like that for ages. But it is as it is.

At 370–400 usd that rep would be acceptable given the flaws. If you can source it at that price, go for it.

if VSF manages to shave 1mm thickness and fixes the caseback spelling, I’d might go for this one as well.
despite my large wrists, I do think that 44mm is the right Pam size and the new Subs including this one are to my taste.

I agree, if they could improve on the numerals on the bezel they'd have done so by now.. its most likely not cost effective for them to do so..

Did they fix the carboteoh text in the caseback? Anyone have information about it?

I saw some recent watches sold here (that were capture & release) and they are presumed to have been acquired quite recently. Well - they didn't fix anything and same issues are still present. A real pity :(

I also hope VSF will just give up on this clone movement that they use and start using A7750 or something more standard. Any standard movement is closer to P.900 in functionality than P.9000 that they use in every recent Panerai rep.
