I have a feeling if the factories start churning out "1:0.85" RMs it will soon become the new AP. Then modding them will start and the hobby will live on.
I believe this is where the factories are headed coz current ROOs are as good as it gets out of china atm so they need to move to newer product to keep the business going.

Things are about to get interesting with these new RMs and also the chit chat about the AP Concept GTM with real tourbillion.

I agree with you 1000% !.
RMs would be the next AP as we are so saturated with APs and Pams. Who knows these two currently most popular brands would end up being the next Hublot? Lol
Even the 1:0.60 RM reps we curently have look so good in the flesh despite the huge flaws. If they do anything close to 90%, you all know that where all my money will be spent. ;-P

I inquired to the same guy who sold me this watch. The RM055 he quoted me $640 USD. The only concern they keep telling me it's swiss ETA. I'm afraid it's actually 21j.

It is definitely not swiss ETA.

Saw a video where they show the back of the new rm55 rep and t looks good.

My main concern after seeing a wrist shot is that the case dimensions look wrong. Too thick and too big.

I agree the case shape is not correct. I think RM38 has the correct case shape for the RM55 but has only 4 bezel screws instead of 6.

I'm not sure if its just me but these RM reps really don't look too good from the pics. Granted they're not anywhere near AP rep accuracy yet, but these honestly look like there's still a long way to go...Just my opinion, perhaps in the hand they might be better.

Sizing definitely off. The only correct sizing is the RM035 I THINK.

I kept asking what movement. They told me I am very annoying lol

It's definitely very big, but that's probably to compensate for the huge deco on the movement. It could've been much smaller.

I know the wrist size are different and the angles too but these give you an idea of what the case should look like on a wrist:
I have seen women wear the gen rm55 and it didnt shock. For a RM its quite a tiny watch.
Such a pity they didn't get at least the shape right.

Well, the case shape has always been wrong on the RM reps. They haven't even got the RM011 case right.

Because of this thread, I stayed up way too late on my cell browsing Chrono24 for used RMs. I know I'll never get a gen in my life unless I hit the lotto, but damn I think I could cover my entire "want" list of watches with 3 RMs
