So this is the last email I got from Ryan a few hours ago, when I asked why he told me they could get the JF v7 2824.
"Yes, the factory said difference things a couple of timess..
The final response is that it will already be only with Miyota, sorry for the back and forth."
So who knows. Sead did tell me that there was no JF v7 2824 at the JF factory in China and he was sending mine from the UK

Excuse the trivial question but how do you change the date in the gen, clockwise or counter-clockwise?

I can't say for sure, but I believe it is the same as the 2824

Is there a way to swap the V8's MIYOTA 9015 movement with another movement that has 21,600 bph?

Just in, JF Diver v7 2824 from Sead. I think from what he said I got the last one he had. Now just waiting to see if the one PC sent me is in fact a v7 2824z

My dealer sent me a 2824 (received yesterday) but had told me I was going to be getting a 9015. I'm happy with the 2824, looks like factory is misinforming dealers. To check, ask your dealer to show the date change at 11:30pm. If it rolls counter clockwise, it is the 9015. If it is clockwise, 2824.

Weird question, does anyone know if the plastic pallet on the PM80 can be swapped out with a none plastic one? My modder would know, but I am already a pain in his ass and don't want to bother him.

@FastPaced i would advised against switch to metal fork. the pm80 only has room for micro timing adjustment.
run the movement to end of life then be first install a metal fork and balance. your other option ETA2824 + low beat parts

Thanks for the information. I have 1 PM80 going in 1 diver and I am tossed on the other diver. I do have an ETA for it already, I just have to get those parts for the conversion. I did read people having problems with the conversion though. I read on either RG or RWG that is is one person that does them without any issues at all. I think his screen name was Spinmaster or something like that. Don't know where he is located.
So one is definitely going to be the PM80, I just am unsure what to do about the other.

The 2824 is closer to gen because the date moves from the top of the date window to the bottom. If you got a V7 with the date wheel that moves from the bottom to top it's the wrong watch with miyota movement. Another telltale sign is the noisy rotor.

So my v7 just came in from PC, it is a 2824. So I was lucky to get 2 v7 with 2824. Sead and inTime have both told me that the factories don't have any more and they are now putting Miyota 9015 on them. I wonder is Noob still makes a diver and if they put a 2824 or a 9015 in them.

Do you mean the date goes from bottom to top?
So from what all the TDs have told me, JF doesn't make the diver with the 2824 anymore. So you will have to keep an eye on m2m for one. But I have a feeling they will be few and far in between.

It sucks because we ordered so closely together and I still ended up with a Miyota instead of the 2824 movement. I think as soon as you said you were able to get a 2824 from PC, I emailed him for the 2824 and paid. sucks..

I was VERY much a pain in PC's ass insisting that they check my watch before it was set to me to make sure it was a 2824.
But to be honest, I think I probably just got the last one. Sead said I got his very last 2824 v7 too. M2M is probably the only way to get one now, but I doubt many people will want to part with them. I am glad I got them when I did.
