Rolex GMT 126711 Root Beer from GMF

I won't mind the price if obvious tells aren't there. I'm more seasoned with the AP/PP reps, so my eyes aren't trained to compare that wrapped rootbeer. Interested in hearing what you guys think.

MrTimeZone posted a comparison pic on the previous page. The datewheel is better (closer to gen), the insert marker fonts are noticeably thinner than the gen or GMF.

Just realised no CHS - that's probably a deal breaker for me. I suppose the 28xx hands won't fit on the noob chs clone movement?

And replace the datewheel unless the gen cyclops fixes it.

This exactly. You can see how much of the date window is filled by the font on the GMF - a gen xtal can't fix that. Everyone hops on the "overmagnified" bandwagon while seemingly overlooking the fact that the date barely fits in the window. The font is ridiculously oversized.

I tried googling guys, but what does CHS mean? Is that another factory or an abbreviation of another desirable aspect/feature of reps?

For the datewheels, isn't this something that can be fixed by mikey's datewheels? (again new to the rolex scene, mostly been in the AP scene)

CHS = correct hand shack which is the GMT hand is on top of hour hand

ICHS = incorrect hand shack which is the gmt hand is at bottom of hour hand

Just watch the video the bezel looks not bad, but waiting for real pics

In this pic it sure looks like the hour hand is on the bottom

A bit deceptive of a photo because of the angle and the A in the watermark (I HATE all those stupid watermarks).

If you look at the shadows cast by the hands, you can see that the hour hand is much further away from the dial.

I agree, after careful inspection it looks like seconds > minute > hour > seconds

Ladies! Anybody who want's and buys the CHS movement will get what they deserve the second time they try to set the time. The only people who can even hope to make them last longer than the average life time span of a tamagotchi, are bomb defuses or divorce settlement lawyers specialising in disputes of cats and other pets

You know what's a bigger annoyance then an ICHS? A dead watch - although we mostly live in free countries here, so buy whatever you want. I'm just some guy on the internet with a profile picture of cat who is trying to help

Yeah, I agree, good call on the shadow. Looks like ICHS, which for me is a good thing. As Nikoel so eloquently put it, don't buy a time bomb!

Then again, I AM a Time Traveller, so I could just go back in time and undo it.

Puretime just listed it on their site too. The bezel looks good. Seems like GMF has learned the technique to Bi-coloured ceramic bezels.
