too bad that the dial is a big tell! i have to agree with you that the matte dial on the rep looks a lot better than the glossy dial on the gen.

is it just me, or the fonts on the bezel insert are a bit off?

First of all congrats for your son!! I had the chance to look the gen yesterday and I could see the differences exactly as you described but only an experienced eye could tell and only after having both watches side by side like you did... Thank you for all info, pics and analysis!

As I recall the BP dial is closer to gen, but the rest of the watch is no where near the Noobs quality. Maybe a Noob/BP project in the future? A gen bezel too? Great review!
