Hi guys, I'm new here and had a few rookie questions.

For those of you who have had experience buying rose gold/yellow gold DD and DJs, how does the plating hold up? Are there any methods to replate the gold? Did you find your purchase to be worth it?

I'm leaning towards the silver/stainless steel to avoid this.

Also, have you had people try to call you out on your pieces? Or inquire things like price, or ask where did you purchase your watch from?

Are you honest or do you have a go-to lie that you tell to nosey people?

Thanks.

I simply don't get any watch that is obviously way out of my league. Do your homework and check what will the price of the gen be. And have a good mix of gens and reps.

My friends usually don't believe when I tell them that the rep I was wearing is a rep! Lol

This answered a lot of my questions. Weeks of research boiled down to a few minutes!

Hey guys !

I'm planning to buy this DAY-DATE ! I like THIS ONE too but the gold looks cheaper. Someone can confirm that's not only the movement which is cheaper but also the plaqued gold ?

Thanks !

Hi all, great post and think I'm convinced to get an ice blue 36mm day date from watcheden.

The only question I have is with the asian 21j movement

I read somewhere that the day and date font is way off when compared to gen or a Swiss eta version.

May I ask does anybody have any first hand experience. If there isn't much difference I'll definitely pull the trigger on one

Thanks

Unfortunately there are very little articles on the most iconic watch rolex has ever made the DJ DATEJUST. :/
I am waiting for a DJ 1 to come in. Ill do a nice article with plenty of pics when it arrives. Plus got some ideas for mods that Ive got planned for it.

The best way to find out is to email on the the TDs here. They will know best. But from what I know the DayDates are not very good, no where in comparison to the DJII

UMMMMMMMM, It's only one of the most popular rolex's in history, so yes, it is repped. But you need to ask for the president bracelet and send a TD a pic of it. because they usually will now just come on a jubiliee or oyster mostly.
