The true problem I have is once you notice this wheel on the rep you can immediately spot a rep from a gen
There are multiple glaring tells that can't be ignored when you're looking at the watch face. Look right next to the pinion at the deco gear... Look at the escape wheel that's all deco... the list could go on. It's tough to rep a skeleton well without a clone movement. I think the watch is still awesome independently, but I don't think it's great as a replica (in its current state)

Waiting for it to drop to the range of 800 - 1000$
It is too risky to buy at the current price because my experience with RM replicas they have higher chance of arriving dead or even have problems with the first 5 months of buying.
Also it is very difficult to fix because parts are usually not available for these replicas.

Guess interest around this has basically dried up as everyone is waiting for a 1kish option and dealers/factories are willing to come up with one.

Basically my thought, 2.5k is NOT worth for a basically unrepairable rep. Could die in 10 years or 10 minutes like any rep, except most of them can be repaired in one way or another. And honestly id spring 1k easily for a McLaren 67-02 right now.

I remember watching a short interview with Lando asking about his dream watch and he said he wanted a thin sapphire RM. Maybe this fantasy rep will become a gen in the near future lol

After all things considered, and not trying to have a go to whoever bought this.

This rep is a low quality one, with a “hyped” price tag for a myiota based movement.
Full of tells other than the person wearing it.

Guys, we have RWI for access to information on Good reps, not shite. If we put money in to shit we will be feed shit.
This needs to be seen as what it is, a really bad rep watch being sold for over 2k, hence why the TDs are driving Rolls Royces and Bentleys in China. Cost $150, sale price $2900.

Wait until they find some dignity and actually clone the movement so there are less tells and like the Zags and BBRs is more acceptable/usable.

This here imho is shite, end of conversation.

I think it’s about as good as you can get without resorting to making a clone movement
But yeah, definitely way too overpriced. Should be max $800. I think on the wrist it’s very hard to tell it apart from gen

Well said, and I believe the China buy price for this model is around $600 and they sell it $2300 to $3500+ same thing happens with a lot of these RM models even the custom

It’s not hard at all.
Things that should be moving are static, wheels in the wrong place.
“On the wrist” will only not be visible if the person wearing it never gets a compliment and consequently has to show the watch. Imagine getting a compliment and tucking it in the coats pocket for the rest of the evening, how awkward is that ? Or having to say it’s a rep.
Worse, not knowing if they know or not.

Problem with RMs in particular, people do try to pass them for gen. The desperation of acceptance and brute force status.

The other day this amazing investor was wearing a Daytona Le Mans near me, and I by instinct just asked. Without hesitation he took it from his wrist and gave it to me, in the sun the perfect white gold shade. The amazing sunburst dial.
And with no more than 150 grams in weight being kind. So to the investor who did that in the UK last week, (who is probably/potentially an RWI supporter as no way that watch was not wrapped) wanted me to think the watch was genuine.

My point being key tells are a barrier for a reason.!
The RM must move in a certain way, and doesn’t!

Immediately giving your credibility away and only making success with people that won’t make a difference anyway.
