RM027 Tourbillon FIRST THOUGHTS

OK, gen RM 011 does not quite fit - see below. Overall thickness is about right but the shaping is slightly off and the hole spacing on the gen is marginally wider. Width is right even though the pic is a little misleading as the red strap is sitting on top of the watch. Gen strap is also 2mm narrower at buckle.

Are there any problems with qc pics so far? Or you guys just accepted the first watch they show? My local dealer cannot show me qc pics but I still want to buy this watch, so now I'm hesitate.

No pics, no purchase. For that kind of money you need to be confident you aren't getting a lemon.

OK guys, there was a bit of lint appeared behind the glass on my 027, so I took it apart to remove it and whilst I was at it I took some pictures. The movement actually looks great from the back. All cleaned up now and waterproofed too and running like a champ.

The watch looks pretty and complicated just like most good looking females LOOL. Noted... The gen strap doesn't quite fit on the rep RM027

It could possibly be made to fit with a grinder, but, not something I would want to try on an expensive gen strap! :huh:

For the record I’ve owned that same watch (the Felipe Massa Anniversary model) and it’s a great rep. Not quite on the same level as this in terms of quality but certainly closer to gen!!

RM011 is very boxy, RM001 is nice and small and slim (relatively speaking). Both are quiet although RM011 may have a little rotor noise and the RM001 definitely doesn’t (as it’s got no rotor obviously)!

The Chinese tourbillon movements are actually famously reliable... the same can’t be said for the A7750 movements!

The RM011 is boxy all over, the case doesn’t taper as much as the RM001, they feel an wear significantly differently!!

Pretty close between this and the RM001, the 001 is closer to gen but since you ask about quality I’d have to say this RM027 is better!!
