This is the quote that I think probably has it right. The repair taking months is probably off, but it may not be. I'd imagine there is some rearranging going on. I highly doubt its gone for good. The way the webpage acts when trying to connect is definitely what you'd experience with a downed server.

As bad as a few want to see RG go down for good, IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

There are compatibility issues with the new server.

Then might I suggest a more meaningful message than "we will be back in 10 minutes"... and whenever you're going to put something like that, at a BARE MINIMUM, put the time when you posted that it will be "just 10 minutes" so if it's obviously hours later (or days?) you don't leave people sitting there getting pissed off checking every 10 minutes to see if it's fixed yet.
