Seeing as VSF Make great watches of high quality in other brands I’m sure they will fix this

Ordered today!
I am not satisfied with my ARF!
Wrong case with 0,3mm wieder lugs, very sharp edges on case bracelet and clasp.
My noob V10 114060 is much much better than the ARF V3.

My plan is to build the best of all worlds incl. gen crystal and gen crown.

Excellent choice sir. Hopefully you won't have to buy a gen crystal. Let's see how it is in person when we get it :)

Thanks for the comparison, OP! Nice 1st try! Will definitely consider buying the (hopefully VR) 3135 version. In this day and age, I still cannot understand why some are still stuck with the “ more reliable” 2824. It’s 2020! Why negate and deny the dramatic improvements the VR3135’s and the SA4130’s of Noob? But then again, that’s just my 2 cents...

I personally love the VR and 4130 movements, but I keep those babied, and with watches that I know have solid resale value and interest.

Definitely agree that the clones are superior :) Have a Noob 116500 coming this week, perhaps even today. Had a 116515 and the movement was pure silk. Also had a VRF 116710ln and again, pure butter. If the RXF had a clone I would have been 10x happier ;)

It's more like, if the 28xx movement is damaged, sourcing parts is easy. Plus you can service it yourself or do small repairs/fixes as needed. So pros and cons.

I'm also a huge fan of the SA4130 and the VR3135 movements. I've just received a VR3135 movement (and a Prof Crystal) that I'm going to put into a recently acquired JF 16610LV.

The 2824 isn't "more reliable", it's more reliable. If you have a serious issue, it can be replaced with two highly reliable Swiss made alternatives. The ETA 2824-2 has been in the market since almost 40 years, proved its longevity and can be serviced everywhere around the planet. What's the oldest watch running on a VR3135? Where do you get it serviced? Will you even get spare parts in five years from now? Some users seem to open their case backs every day, but some just want to wear a nice rep and probably don't even own a case opener. As RXF managed to get the crown height right, the 2824 is not as bad a choice as some make it sound.

Very well spoken, and loads of good perspective

Are you sure ARF is full of sharp edges..? They are the best in terms of finishing. Os it a problem unique to V3s?

Yes, my ARF V3 had very sharp edges on the bracelet and the lugs.
On my DS 126600 everything is fine also the bracelet from the Daytonas.
After smoothening the edges everything is OK :D
