Review of Upcoming RXF New Submariner 116610 LN and Comparison

I have a 2019 gen and it does have blue shaded AR. Can't say if it's more or less than this one, but the idea that reps have blue Cyclops and gen have it transparent is wrong

I just can’t Get over how bad the sel fit is on these. They have focused their attentions to some good features like the crown guards etc but the biggest detail on a Rolex of any type in the modern era is the bracelet fit to the case and this is a big fail if they want to take on ARF and ZZF with this release!!

I have to agree, looks sloppy like mid tier rep

Dial looks alright, nice lume plot markers better than most can’t tell about the hands yet. Xtal same old same dw might be a tad thick??

It’s also a moot point as you could have an older gen go for a service and be replaced with a new xtal with or without blue hue. So no worth worrying about. I’d worry about the shitty cyclops all the reps have.

Indeed, since 2016 we can see blue AR on some gens, subs and gmt's, but not on all pieces, no idea what is Rolex rule here.

Build quality and comparison with a ZZF V2:

Very good for first time Sub but a long way to go to compete with the top dog. It's obvious from pictures that ZZF looks way more premium.

Nevertheless, it does beat Noob V10 and ARF V3 imo. RXF surely has brought some good things to the table such as dial printing and their dial doesn't seem to have the "ripple" effect whereas ZZF you can get unlucky and get some extreme looking ones.

Another thing I dislike a lot is the steel printing, it doesn't look smooth and nice like ZZF. You can easily see the difference on the rehaut and clasp. The clasp itself has the "7GJ" instead of "C4R", I have to check an old thread with all the serial codes for different models/steels but as far as I know for all 116610LN model it should be "C4R".

My current rankings are for best Submariners are:

1. ZZF V2 / V2s
2. RXF
3. ARF V3
4. Noob V10

I'd like to add this is a premature judgement since we have a lot more to see and learn about RXF such as consistency in the upcoming QCs.

I think RXF succeed in what they had in mind which was to beat some of the top dogs, and they've done so! ARF V3 and Noob V10 will be gone in no time leaving buyers with 2 obvious options.

No, only zzf has C4R and sometimes C4r with a Small r.
But yeah you have to wait befor Judge.
It will be like always. You have too chose with witch flaws you can live.
So far I really like the xtail of RXF, it has a nice Black hole.

I know have two of them but that's a minor thing looks really gen like from most angles and on wrist.

Looks promising so far. SEL doesn't look the best. DW slightly off centre. I can realign the rehaut myself with a single degree shift..

But that font is much better now and the creamy bezel/hour markers look fantastic!

So definitely shows you can get better pieces out there.

That SEL gap reminds me of the issue with XF Pelagos'. They had the same interminable problem and I wonder if this is part of the flavour since some part of XF is involved in this collaboration.

Eric just sent the rest of the QC. Timegraph looks flawless. Beautiful crown height. SEL doesn't look as bad when not blown up and zoomed in

Green lighted this and just paid. You can't have a perfect watch also, very happy to not buy a ZZF because something else deserves a chance.
