By the way, has anyone tried to put this insert on a ZZF? Is it actually better in terms of numerals colour and thinness of the insert?

I wouldnt be getting to far ahead theres more to a good insert than colour. Arf gets the colour right but its only paint and chips flakes off. I haven't seen any claim yet that they use platinum plating

U.K.
I wouldn’t worry about repeat serials numbers when the whole rehaut engraving is awful on this. This watch is only getting hyped because it is substantially cheaper than the market leaders but otherwise it’s a sub par sub!

In all honesty, from pictures and in my opinion, this one has a better insert and dial than zzf. There are other weak points obviously but it impresses me the same anyway. We will see the durability of insert with time.

Finally, I may have something new to contribute!

One of the clearest tells for an RXF comes from the serial numbers. So far, I have seen:

3x F77S7878
3x D55P5858
2x E66R6868
1x A11L1818

Letters occupy the first and fourth places. So far they have been 11 to 13 letters apart in the alphabet.

With the numbers, only one is variable and this occupies the second, third, fifth, and seventh places. So far, it looks like the variable number equates to the first letter + 1 ie. F is the 6th letter of the alphabet so the variable number is 6+1=7. The exception so far is the A which retains the variable number as 1.

The sixth and eight places are always an 8.

The numbers appear random enough at first glance but this pattern should help us spot RFX reps in comparison shots in the future.

Dude.... the RXF has the worst rehaut engraving on a replica.... I dont think anyone is going to struggle figuring out if it's a RXF submariner or not.

The rehaut is looking badly angled in those last pics uploaded. Is this how it looks in the flesh?

F*ck me!!

Who is going to get that close to see the rehaut engraving in real life on your wrist and call it out?!

Unless you’re trying to scam a buyer or fool people on the ‘gram’?

...or you can just blur the serial, like everyone does when posting gen pics.

Thats exactly what I am thinking too!
I have a lot of gen RLX sporties and I have often handed reps over to other people and no one even had an idea that it is a rep.
Even when comparing side by side. On all my high quality reps like ARF, Noob, .... I changed the crystal to gen and thats it!

Just my 2 cents

Yep, I clearly want a fine looking rep, otherwise I’d be buying cheap crap from some dodgy fella on holiday in Spain.

There will alway be flaws on these mid level reps but the level of scrutiny some repeatedly go to gets tedious. Great to call out a flaw once but to keep going on and on does nothing.

If you want a flawless rep then get modding and build a franken.

I can't tell if the cyclops, dial, or date window is crooked, in all the pictures...

I don’t want to dismiss this RXF as not the best sub yet but it seems the consensus is it’s mid level which makes sense from a price point as well.

I think it does a better job in wholeness replicating gen aspects than reps to date but is lacking on that last micron of precision finishing (which applies to all reps anyway) and maybe they will upgrade the brushing and rehaut with a vr3135.

Do you all think the dial is clean factory? Printing looks thicker and whiter and better than ZZF

That’s funny, I lived in Spain the vast majority of my life and have NEVER seen anyone trying to sell me a fake Rolex. Is this a thing?
