this was always a watch that I wavered on. Just read this post and review and pulled the trigger on one with the rubber band. Looks really cool in the pictures and I have been loading up on SS bands recently. Time to mix it up. Will post pics as soon as I get.

We're going to have to post a new combined thread when our 1911's come in. I think By-Tor's review has caused a wave of buying of this model. I recently bought one from Mark at Timeshops.

I'll tell you though, I really like watches that have red or orange bezels and that Ebel with the red bezel is beautiful. I can't wait til that's repped.

What I like to know is, the pushers for the chronos could be pushed in without opening the screw for the pushers. The screws do not move at all, different to a BCE. Is this a flaw or is it the same with the gen?

yes they are fixed mate .I did the same as you at first :wideeyed: the gen is the same i think .......

thx, makes me feel better....:notworthy: you remember that you were just minute faster with roosters watch, so I got it now, the reset botton is not working but I paid half and it is an easy fix.

Waiting for my discovery as well and I would like to say thanks for this review - it played a major role when I was deciding on my first purchase.

A quick question though - I just bought a blue loctite (wasn't easy looking for one where I am based right now) in anticipation for my rep's arrival. Beside the screws on the bracelet, which other areas should I thread-lock? Were there reports of the front screws getting loose? Should I lock them as well?
