Did you plate the bezel yourself? I thought the flaw with the black one was the bezel was not gold plated. I could be remembering wrong lol.

I would have changed to Blue, but my TD has only got grey dial, I like the grey a lot though, unless I'm talking cock and it changes with different lighting angles, but I'd have thought he'd have photo'd that

Did you realise, (it took me a while), but the Speedy Apollo's Tachymeter has the rate of decent to the moon on it, as opposed to a regular Speedy non moon related model

Just discovered this post. So i well understand you prefer Quartz in reps ?
i have in hands a beautiful Daytona grey gold and grey dial but for me the fact that it is quartz is very visible as the second goes 1 by 1 sec so that is a very by tell that is a rep so i do not wear it...

No one will see it ticking on your wrist. If it bothers you though, quartz is not for you.
