I love the Bronze Pilot but it cannot be a ROTY winner as there are some clear flaws.

The bronze on the Gen is finished with some sort of a lacquer or resin, especially around the cuts and crevices where its darkened, not by patina but by the lacquer/enamel.
I would like to believe I've aged my bronze very well with an acid bath but its just not the same. It's very very obvious.

The titanium caseback engraving has many tells. The wheel of the plane, and the missing rectangular section around the caseback ring.

The strap used by the Rep is the same one used by the SS Rep, which is closer to the SS gen. The Gen Bronze has a darker strap with the buckle being titanium and the Zenith Star's edges sitting WAAAY more flush compared to the Rep buckle.

I have the JF AP diver, and I can say that it is absolutely amazing. Very very close to the gen, and even then the differences are pretty much not noticable unless you have a microscope LOL
