I would like to find a local person to whom I can bring my reps for service. Does anyone have advice on how to spot a jeweler/watchmaker who would not be offended by working on a rep? I'm not asking for specific jewelers, as that is location specific, just ideas on how to find one. Thanks.

From what I've found, any privately owned jeweller who isn't franchised to sell/service any gen models will be happy, providing you're up front about them being reps!

9 times out of 10 they are interested to see the quality and are always impressed by the movements at least!

They'll be wearing a fake Armani suit and driving a Fiero that's dressed up to look like a Ferrari. The window on their shop front will be perspex instead of armoured glass :picard:

Or, assuming they're not an AD, you could just walk in and ask?

I strongly suggest against using some local jeweler to service your reps.
I'll just say that you can never trust their experience, attitude, etc towards them.

I strongly suggest speedy, in the US, Chicago area? or another board sponsored
replica watchsmith.

There is a thread somewhere here that suggests ways to find local (mom and pop) jewellers. And how to slowly gain trust. Can't remember who wrote it...maybe daytona4me.... or spirit....?.. can't remember sorry. But keep searching these forums, you will find it.
