Raymond Merlot 2006 vintage! 13.99 at WorldMarket. Really subtle, no puckering. Ghost Pines is also great, but the price usually runs mid 20s. 2006 LAMADRID Malbec is also a good bottle for about $18 from bevmo.

Recently tried a $10 bottle of Ménage à Trois Red which was great.

Luis Martini napa cab is really good in the $30 range

Not sure that you can find this one in the US, and probably it would be above $15 (it's 12€ in France) :

Great white wine ! Delicious in its youth, and even better after 10 or 15 years in your cellar. You can compare it with high level burgundy (which would be 3 or 4 times the price), even if it's not chardonay. It's made from "chenin", like many white wines in the Loire area.
